On the evening of Saturday, August 1, 2026, the Asahi 5-chome Noryo Bon Odori Festival was warmly held at Asahi Higashi Daiichi Park in Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture.
A traditional summer night embraced by neighborhood warmth
Accompanied by traditional Japanese Taiko drumming and lively Bon Odori dances circling the central Yagura tower, neighborhood residents, families, and children gathered to enjoy a festive summer evening. The event also welcomed the Mayor of Kawaguchi and community leaders from surrounding districts.
Welcomed as neighbors by the local community
Located just nearby, the Bánh Mì Xin Chào Kawaguchi Asahi store is truly part of the local neighborhood. It was a profound honor for our team to be warmly invited by the local community association to bring our kitchen car to the festival as a trusted neighbor.
Throughout the evening, our kitchen car served freshly baked Vietnamese bánh mì with savory traditional fillings alongside refreshing cold beverages to neighbors and children enjoying the dance.
Being embraced and trusted by local Japanese neighbors is the greatest encouragement for Bánh Mì Xin Chào to keep growing humbly while bridging culinary cultures together.
