Xin Chào Go Fest #50 brings Bánh Mì Xin Chào to the "Vietnam Exchange Festival 2026: Experience Vietnamese Tet Together", a major event organized by Gunma Prefecture for the Vietnamese community and Japanese friends in the Kanto region.
Over two days, everyone will celebrate Tet together, enjoy Vietnamese food and take part in traditional cultural activities, bringing the spirit of the Vietnamese New Year to the heart of Gunma.
Date and venue
- Time: February 21, 2026 (Sat) 10:30 to 17:00 and February 22, 2026 (Sun) 10:30 to 16:00.
- Venue: Citizens' Hall on the 1st floor of the Gunma Prefectural Government main building (1-1-1 Otemachi, Maebashi, Gunma).
What can you experience?
At the festival, Bánh Mì Xin Chào joins the "Little Market" area and the Vietnamese food booths, bringing a small corner of Saigon's streets to Gunma.
- Vietnamese food: traditional dishes such as phở, bún, bò xào bún (beef stir fry with rice noodles) and Vietnamese coffee, plus bánh chưng, bánh tét and other Tet specialties.
- Culture and experiences: try on the áo dài and other traditional Vietnamese costumes for souvenir photos, join a Tet themed origami workshop, play Vietnamese folk instruments and visit an exhibition on Tet culture.
- Stage performances: traditional and modern Vietnamese dance, Vovinam martial arts, Vietnamese music, lion dance and a special performance with Gunma-chan, the mascot of Gunma Prefecture.
Celebrate Tet with Bánh Mì Xin Chào
Under the spring sky of Gunma, a hot and crispy Bánh Mì Xin Chào filled with pâté, grilled pork and Vietnamese herbs is a familiar "taste of Tet" for Vietnamese and Japanese friends alike.
The Bánh Mì Xin Chào booth will offer:
- Signature bánh mì with the flavors of Saigon's streets.
- Quick bites that are easy to hold while you watch the performances.
- A small, warm spot to stop, chat and "Taste Banh Mi, Taste Vietnam" together.
