The Xin Chào Go Fest journey continues with stop #58. After joining the festival in 2025, Bánh Mì Xin Chào returns to Yokohama for Vietnam Festa in Kanagawa 2026 (ベトナムフェスタ in 神奈川2026), just as the festival marks its 10th edition. It is a festival where the Vietnamese community in Kanagawa and Japanese friends come together to meet, connect and grow even fonder of Vietnamese culture.
Ten years of connecting Vietnam and Kanagawa
Vietnam Festa in Kanagawa began in 2015 as a place to nurture friendship and exchange between Vietnam and Kanagawa Prefecture. The festival is organized by the Vietnam Festa in Kanagawa Executive Committee, the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan and Kanagawa Prefecture. Over its 10 editions, the festival has welcomed more than 2.4 million visitors.
This year's theme is "Connecting hearts, carrying on into the future" (つながる心 これからも), expressing the wish to cherish the bonds built so far and deepen them further in the future. About 43,000 Vietnamese people currently live in Kanagawa Prefecture.
Highlights of this year's festival:
- VIETNAM SOUNDS by TAKARA Family (Saturday, September 12): a cultural exchange show between Vietnam and Japan with festival ambassador Kawashima Ai and artists Isaac, Negav, kolme and Nojima Kano
- Special live stage by MỸ MỸ & TƯỜNG DUY (Saturday, September 12): one day only
- 10th edition special program: vibrant lanterns throughout the venue, a performance of Nhã nhạc court music (recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage) and a talk by Ms. Uchida Seina, representative of the Vietnamese tea shop Tinh
- Water puppetry performed on both days
- Yosakoi: groups from the Yokohama Yosakoi Festival together with a Japan and Vietnam Yosakoi exchange team formed especially for the festival
- Đàn T'rưng: a performance by artist Kumiko Oguri
- Mid-Autumn Festival workshop for children: making star lanterns and painting nón lá conical hats
- Learning about Vietnam: a Vietnamese language class, a Japanese speech contest for Vietnamese international students and a talk by Ms. Trang, who came to Japan as a refugee
- Experiences: áo dài try-on, a lantern tunnel, a Vietnam photo corner and a stamp rally
- Gifts: souvenirs for visitors who answer the survey (limited quantity) and a grand lucky draw; every 500 yen spent at participating booths earns 1 ticket, and 5 tickets let you enter the draw
- E-SPORTS KANAGAWA exchange area (Sunday, September 13, 11:00 to 17:00): at Zō-no-Hana Terrace, free admission
Bánh Mì Xin Chào at the festival
The Bánh Mì Xin Chào booth is in the food booth area of Zō-no-Hana Park, booth F-11, F-12. On Saturday, September 12, the food booth area in Zō-no-Hana Park stays open until 20:00, so you can enjoy bánh mì among the glowing festival lanterns as evening falls.
What's more, together with DCOM, Bánh Mì Xin Chào is giving away 600 free bánh mì to visitors who take part in the event and lucky draw at the DCOM booth (S-20 to S-22). Don't forget to stop by the DCOM booth to join in and pick up your bánh mì.
For Bánh Mì Xin Chào, every Go Fest stop is a chance to bring the taste of Vietnam closer to our Japanese friends, and for the Vietnamese community far from home to meet and connect.

- Minatomirai Line, Nihon Ōdōri Station, Kencho exit (県庁口): 1 minute walk
- Kannai Station (JR and Yokohama Municipal Subway): 10 minute walk
A water refill station is set up in front of the Kanagawa Prefectural Government Building, so remember to bring your own water bottle.
