For the month of May, our festival journey Xin Chào Go Fest #40 takes us to the most significant cultural and historical event for the Vietnamese community in Japan: the Heart of Vietnam Festival.
About the Heart of Vietnam Festival
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Vietnam's reunification, this grand event will take place on May 3 and 4, 2025, at Hanazono Central Park in Higashiosaka city, Osaka Prefecture. It is a profound occasion for the overseas community to look back on a heroic history, show unity, and express national pride. The festival is expected to welcome around 150,000 attendees, including international friends and local residents.
Ten Thousand National Flags Waving campaign
The most emotional highlight of the program is the vibrant display of national flags. The organizing committee has prepared 10,000 flags to distribute for free to the audience. Visitors will also have the chance to take photos at the red carpet area which features a 300 meter long flag. Seeing tens of thousands of flags waving across the massive baseball field will undoubtedly be an unforgettable sight.
Spectacular live music and culture
The main stage will feature top tier Vietnamese artists such as Tung Duong, Isaac, and Nguyen Duyen Quynh, along with various youth art groups. The blend of heroic traditional songs, modern hits, and performances representing 54 ethnic groups will create an explosive and deeply emotional atmosphere.
